Claire Highland is a graduate of Western Washington University and Seattle University School of Law. As an undergraduate Claire’s focus of study was public speaking, which she excelled at. As a law student she discovered her passion for criminal law because of her commitment to justice and love for being in the courtroom. She is admitted to both Washington State and California Bar Associations.
Claire began her career as a public defender in Washington State, quickly rising through the ranks to the felony division. As a public defender, Claire was exposed to a wide variety of cases and given abundant opportunity to take on challenging work and help her clients through trial. This invaluable experience means she is willing to take on any case no matter how challenging. This work also allowed her to help people from all walks of life and learn about her client’s journeys and struggles, making her better able to tell her client’s story. So often people in this situation feel unheard - your voice matters to Claire.
